Getting Plugins to Work in Leopard
Posted: 31/10/2007
For a while it looked as if InputManagers were gone for good in Leopard, but they’re still around for us to pimp! The security is just a little tighter this time.
So for the early adopters trying to get their plugins to work in Leopard, here’s how you do it:
- Move the ~/Library/InputManagers/ folder to the root library at /Library/. If there is already an InputManagers folder there, just copy the contents.
- Launch Terminal.app and type the following commands to make sure they’re all owned and only writable by the root:
sudo chown -R root:admin /Library/InputManagers
sudo chmod -R go-w /Library/InputManagers
You will be prompted for an admin password.
